Wii-tastic

We had a really lovely evening last night, although I did work a little later than I meant to. We went for a beautiful meal in the Cornstore, if anyone reading this is in Limerick I would highly recommend it. I've been there a few times at this stage and the food and service has always been excellent. I would specifically recommend the crab claws. The only disappointment is that they have a very unappealing dessert menue, it's my favourite part of the meal and I didn't order any. We followed this with a few quiet drinks in the local, it was a perfectly low key birthday, exactly what I wanted.
I got a deadly present offf John...a Wii Fit! I've been thiking about getting one of these for ages, more so to make the Wii fun again as I had gotten a bit bored with it. It was quite funny when I told my mother what he got me, I don't think she really understands what they are and she got the impression it was akin to an ab-roller( a rather insulting birthday present in my opinion). Sadly I don't look like the beautifully poised lady on the box yet, but maybe soon, just without the verdant glow.

Tired Feet

Yuck I just finished an extra hideous split shift in the restaurant. Please next time you eat out have a little extra patience for your waitress...we work our asses off. I've nothing interesting to report today as all I did was run around like a maniac with plates and glasses.
On my break I did do the design for the City Council opening, it's looking pretty promising and I can show you pics when I get approval from the client. They went for a soviet propaganda feel for the poster as the guy they are commemorating(Robert Byrne) is heavily linked with the foundation of the Limerick Soviet in 1919.

I'm off now to put my very tired and stinky feet up, it's just after 1am, I'm shattered but wide awake, oh joy.

What I'm up to

In answer to my question what do I do now...custom orders.I'm working on a black coat at the moment, that's making me miss the callouses on my fingers I developed before Christmas(there is lots of hand sewing in it and it's hurting my silly girl fingers).I'm getting another delivery of a large custom order tomorrow, about 5 pieces. And also last week a friend was saying she has picked out lots of things from her wardrobe she wants me to revamp. So when it rains it pours, and I'm delighted. I really like doing custom work because it makes me think outside the box, towards what the client wants. At the moment the coat I'm doing is meant to be unusual but restrained enough to wear to work. It's been a challange but I'm enjoying it. I called the market man, Tom, and I found out the Sunday Market starting back in April, so I've one month to get cracking on lots of new stock. I think that will be fine as I've lots of time off in the restaurant coming up, the are doing a refurbishment and I'm taking a few days off too. That said, I hope I won't be linking back to this post the week before the market when I'm moaning about doing all nighters trying to get work done.
