Wanna win €300 worth of Irish crafts? Who wouldn't? As most of you know I'm involved with the Etsy Ireland team, a group of 250 Irish crafters selling on etsy. To celebrate St.Patricks Day they are giving away an amazing prize to 1 lucky person. All the items in the above treasury is what is included in the prize.

All you have to do is follow the daily links on their facebook page from March 8th, figure out a simple word puzzle and you can then enter the draw. Feeling Irish

I was feeling rather patriotic last night after I went to the polling station to vote so I came home and made this Irish themed treasury. I'm not feeling very optimistic about the outcome, or that their will be any great change in the near future...but I voted anyway. It's feeling all very doom and gloom in Ireland at the moment, I'm surprised a lynch mob hasn't started with all the things that have been happening here.

I've also been meaning to make some specialised items for St.Paddy's day, mostly because Irish sellers get featured so often in treasuries over the next two weeks. But also so I can sell them at the market. After looking for a while on google I could only come up with 4 images for Paddy's Day earrings. I think my favourite is the pint of Guinness, and I will definitely make myself a pair to wear to the pub. Click here to see them in my shop.

I need to come up with some more designs but my brain is making a charming tumbleweed sound instead of coming up with fab ideas...grumble.

Paddy's Day Article on Storque

Firstly let me wish all of you a very happy (and merry) Paddy's Day!!
The post I did on St.Patricks Day for the main Etsy Blog just went live. So please click, read, and comment!! There were some last minute issues with the pictures, that I thought might lead to it not being posted, which would be horrible as the whole Etsy Ireland Team was really looking forward to it. I found it harder than I expected to get images of the parade. I got a good few and collaged them together, as they were not very high resolution. Etsy weren't happy with this so they didn't use them. In the end they sourced some on flicker, although I don't think they are of Limerick.
Thanks everyone for all your really helpful comments and feedback, when I volunteered to do it I didn't really think they would accept. So it was your help and comments that got my brain in gear to write it!!

As I mentioned before I'm going to be doing an article for the main Etsy blog on St.Patricks Day about being Irish and how I feel about Paddys Day. I tried getting some feedback on facebook but it didn't really work. So lovely readers I'm asking for your help, pretty please. Two questions:

What does Paddys Day mean to you, if anything?

How do you feel about being Irish, does it hold any significance for you?

Also any memories that you have of Paddys day past and present would also be appreciated, thanks!!
