Illustrated Wine Charms

I don't know why I didn't think to make shrink plastic wine charms before, the very fact that they are illustrated means that they are perfectly suited for making matching sets. These are the first four sets that I've made but I plan on making loads more of them. The only thing I've yet to figure out is how to display them. I tried using a card for the button ones that I made but they don't do them any justice. I think I might get bracelet boxes to match the other ones that I got, it would make them more substantial.

I've listed them here in my etsy shop at €15 per set, I was in two minds about the price. Looking at other handmade charms on Etsy they are much more expensive, but I know I won't sell that many if I price them any higher. I'll have to see how they go and adjust accordingly.

Update: My bracelet boxes arrived sooner than I expected and they work perfectly. I'm much happier with them displayed like this and they would make a really nice gift for someone in this cute presentation box.

Planning a Tea Party

Originally Pinned by Lana Bogunovich from Larritt Evans

I'm turning 30 next Tuesday and I decided yesterday that I would throw a tea party during the day before I meet the rest of my friends in the pub afterwards. The only bad thing is that it's a Tuesday and daytime so a lot of my friends are working, but I just wanted to do something fun and girlie during the day.

I'll be happy making the posh sandwiches but I'm not much of a baker so the cakes will be a bit of a challenge. My plan is to make it very pretty to distract from the fact that they may not be the best cakes in the world. The main point is that I try to pull off a grown up thing like a tea party, you know with me being 30 and all I have to try to be a lady, well at least for one afternoon.

I have lots of cute chintz cups already that I've been meaning to turn into pincushions, and I can get whatever else I need from charity shops. To get some inspiration I went hunting on Pinterest and found some amazing ideas, I will definitely be making the strawberry Rice Crispie cakes as I think even they are within my baking abilities.

New Handmade Cupcake Brooches

I didn't wait long to get cracking on some new brooches after the arrival of my lovely new felt from Lupin. I made out a new template for cupcake brooches, smaller that my usual ones as not everyone likes to wear big jewellery like I do. I cut them all out and settled in to a lazy evening listing to 'Under The Dome' by Stephen King on audiobook. I nearly didn't want to take pictures of them and list them in my shop because I wanted to stay upstairs listing to what happens at then end of the book(actually after I publish this I'm heading straight back upstairs to hear the conclusion!).

The new listing system has made listing items in my shop way faster I can't believe I shot, edited, and listed 8 items in just over an hour and a half...that must be a new record for me. I'm gonna work on a few other pictorial designs as they usually sell pretty fast. They are €10 each(or 3 for €20), and if you would like one made in specific colours just let me know and I'll make one up for you asap.

Cupcakes

I actually made these pincushions nearly two months ago and took the photos. I've no idea why it took me long long to list them in my etsy shop, I just got around to doing it this week.
I also should be getting lots of new supplies over the next week or so. I will be getting another large consignment of vintage supplies. Including mixed bags of vintage buttons, and an esoteric selection of knitting needles. I'm excited to see them and start listing my new range. I'm not really that clued into the whole knitting scene so I'll have to do a bit of research. Also included in this will be in avintage mannequin, I hear it's in pretty rough shape so I might spray paint or decopage it, and have it has a decoration in my living room.

New Brooches

In preparation for the Sunday Bedford Row market starting back this week I've gone into brooch making over drive. I'm not sure if I'll make it this week, but definitely from the following Sunday this Christmas I'll be selling there every week from 12-5pm. Part of me excited to go back, and the other part is sad to say goodbye to my Sundays again, it is such a lovely day to have off.
Here is what I made yesterday, I won't be listing them in my Etsy shop, so if you want to pick one up they are 10 euro each at my stall.
Hope to see you there :)
