Laminating and Stationary Addict

My friend went to Lidl recently and picked up a laminator for me for only €15, I've been wanting one for ages but it never quite made it to the top of the list. I can see myself becoming a laminating addict, I'm certainly going to make a whole set of new signs for my stall. I'd also like to make some labels for my storage boxes in my studio. As time goes on I'm sure I'll find lots of useless things that need as tacky veneer of plastic on them!

I seem to be a stationary addict, an all consuming shopping addiction that friends who are school teachers seem to share with me. I wander around a stationary shop for ages like my peers would a designer shoe shop. Discount shops do it for me too because they tend to have stationary sections, where I spend just as much money as a normal shop but I just get a bigger fix for my addiction. Check out this feast of pens that I got in Dealz the other day at €1.49 per pack. I also picked up some laminating pouches while I was there too, anticipating a frenzied spout of hot plastic preservation.

Please tell me I'm not alone, do you also compulsively buy pretty notebooks and folders in Tesco, or to die for stationary tools like single paper punches and long armed staplers?

  1. You're not alone :) I buy piles of pens, folders, notebooks, erasers, pencils, markers, post-it notes, highlighters, etc. It is so important to have the right thing for each use, don't you think? At least this is the excuse I use for it.

  2. I think it's exactly the same as the crazy shoe ladies, don't they all say you can never have too many shoes, well I truly believe you can never have to much supplies...pretty pens are important in a girls life!
